Imagine it, your imagination becomes more realistic.

According to Statistics Netherlands (CBS), there will be around 7.8 million households in the Netherlands in 2018 and there will be quite a few chickens, including many pigs, beef and dairy cattle, goats and sheep.

Globalisation is a fact and that means that we would have about 16 of these animals per household.  Because we export milk powder to China and so on and so forth and because of this globalisation we exhaust the land here to maintain the other and vice versa elsewhere.

So here in the Netherlands on every household: 16 animals. (And as it often is with statistics: not counting your dog, cat and other animals.)

Do you have room for it or can you do something with it? Not me. It's out of your control.

Where are the animals then? In mega stables, stuffed and some less stuffed. Because something positive is happening too.

But sit down for a whole day in a crowded or a bit crowded metro, train or bus. With people. How quickly will you feel sick or not feeling well? And then only for 1 day? How exhausting is that?

And then we have the ability to think and have our human emotions and choices. Animals don't.

What does this have to do with sexual abuse, statistics?

Statistics CBS in the Netherlands says that there are 10130 sexual abuse registrations in 2017 (almost equal to 2016-2015).

Statistically, per 769 households, there is only one household that is involved in sexual abuse.

Do we keep a closer eye on the herd than on ourselves?  This growth is accurately mapped: milk, meat, manure, exports, money, environment.

However, there is no clear statistical picture of sexual violence and abuse: only 1 in 769 households is wrong. Of course, the figures at the CBS are correct, because that is what is being registered or investigated with an awful lot of facts that have not been taken into account. Because it is not known how and what our emotions and cognition do to remain (un)consciously unregistered.

Definition

Sexual abuse is not Me2, it has to do with many more aspects and also demands specificity and definition.  Because it's about abuse of sexuality. And let's all have to do with that: with sexuality. Otherwise you wouldn't be there at all. What if sexuality is abused and what is abused: healthy sexual development.

And we know very little about that as a whole. Because it's about everyone and wishfull hope that it will be okay then. After all, who are your examples or teachers in healthy sexuality as a whole? We know sex, we know the individual aspects, but how it relates to all these individual parts is quite a job. What makes it that there are so few numbers left?

It is shocking that we have to get old cows out of the ditch. Abuse is not new and not sporadic because society is thriving. And there are few who want to continue to take the cow by the horns. Because there is always something else that comes less existentially close but does come very close when you can imagine the consequences: 16 animals in every household.

And then we are only talking about the livestock in our country and the effects of globalisation, geopolitics, let alone a Brexit.....................................

Definition 2

If you look at the CBS on crime and sexual violence, then suddenly a 1 in 87 households number appears. What is the cause of crime, sexual violence, other violence, addictions and other negative behaviour for the social cohesion of our society?

Why does someone steal, why does someone use drugs, etc...or rather: what is the real cause of all these different forms of social equilibrium disturbing activities? What is the effect on people when the world is globalizing or Brexit'?

What are the links between 16 to 1 and 1 to 87?

Do you have room for it or can you do something with it? I don't. It seems out of your control.

Where are these people then? Not in mega stalls, but hidden and some less hidden. Because something positive is happening too. Because there is also awareness and signalling.

The costs of biodiversity loss

The truth will triumph one day. Because the numbers are not right yet!

What if we allow the land to be depleted as an economic globalising effect, biodiversity to be affected and the Dutch Central Bank has now passed on the fact that all of this will cost us a great deal of money, why, then why are we exhausting ourselves? We are talking about life and survival and therefore also about death and death. How do we define our progress of our species? What and who is the future and where does the future come from? Biodiversity is also about our lives and therefore also about money.

I don't think it's unwillingness not to express sexuality in numbers and it's about life, but it takes a lot of knowledge and experience to map out sexuality as far as possible. Because everyone has learned to form their own opinions and feelings about it, even if they have been able to do so in undisturbed conditions...Abuse of sexuality is not individual but affects all of us. Negative. Numbers, numbers help to turn the tide.

Statistics

Statistics help you to imagine something.  Imagine if there were 100 people living on this earth, how many would be short of daily food, how many would have a mobile phone and so on …..you'll be amazed at the visualization of statistics.

If sexuality is the prerequisite for life transfer, what is the effect of abusing sexuality and can we imagine it? Not how it relates to livestock numbers, but with our well-being, happiness, quality of life and sustainability of life. And how much money abuse ultimately costs society. It will frighten you how close it is.

Challengingly necessary to map out our life questions and to do something about them. To continue to do so.
