For professionals

Everyone who works as a professional or volunteer in the social care, health care or services sectors, or in education or as a trainer, can find themselves involved with sexual abuse, violence or intimidation. You must act appropriately if you are faced with such a situation. By being able to anticipate and act in the correct manner, you will also this catastrophic problem becoming even bigger. Precisely because sexuality is such a controversial topic, we must pay much more attention to it.

Learn how, as a professional in education, all areas of social care, health care and the services sector – including religious or government-run organizations – you can recognize signs of sexual abuse and anticipate it. Acknowledge the ignorance of traumas in sexuality that still exist.

We offer advice, consultancy, information and training for you to become competent in tackling the problem of sexual abuse. For survivors

In London, IONOI traumasexology is a place where everybody is welcome who has experienced sexual abuse, maltreatment, intimidation and an inhibited stunted personal development. First and foremost, you will find a listening ear. A safe meeting place, anonymous if you want it.

Events that you are not willing, able or bold enough to share with just anybody.

We can transform the fundamental fear of being alone or becoming isolated as a result of traumas you have experienced into a home with safety and security.

Shame, feelings of guilt and keeping a devastating secret combine to make it difficult for you to make choices.

This is why we bring sexuality and the resultant unsafety out of the taboo area as well as giving you the opportunity to heal. So that you can cast off your victimhood and once again live your own life.

We are here for the partners and the loved ones of the victims. As well as for professionals that work with the victims of sexual abuse.

People who are anxious about others experiencing sexual abuse and wish to discuss this, are also welcome here at IONOI traumasexology.

We make use of, among other things, the methodology of trauma sexuality and psychodrama developed by Peter John Schouten.

Insights and interventions based on NLP principles, mind space techniques, consciousness-raising, development psychology, transactional analysis, Ericksonian hypnotherapy and physical therapy are possible elements of a psychosocial therapy.

We are also here for professionals and colleagues who are looking for a sparring partner or who wish to talk about specific aspects of victimhood and perpetratorship. Looking for and finding powerful new insights.

For professionals

You should be able to act professionally when performing any kind of service provision and education regarding the theme of sexuality/sexual abuse. This assures the professional quality and safety.

If you want to limit the damage or even learn to repair the damage done, then knowledge and expertise = skill is absolutely essential.

The damage done by sexual abuse runs so deep and is so complex that awareness and knowledge/skills are prerequisites in order to be able to work in a quality-focused, safe and healthy manner.

Sexual abuse finds its way throughout our society and inflicts both personal and economic damage. Sickness absence, complaints that cannot be diagnosed, addictions, therapies, medication, etc. cost society billions. Realizing that an estimated 1.5 million Dutch people have experienced sexual abuse makes the necessity of a solid approach even more urgent.

How do you as a professional learn to identify, acknowledge, and transform the issues surrounding sexuality and sexual abuse?

What do you need to be able to communicate in a sincere and motivating manner? What is the status of your personal development, both professional and personal?

IONOI Traumasexology is a multifaceted professional and experience-based accredited center. We provide professionals with training courses in communication, trauma sexuality, motivational interviewing techniques, teaching them how to identify and interact with victimhood/perpetratorship.
